Ungebrochene kreative FrischeRetrospektive des Experimental-Filmkünstlers Walter UngererAm 26.4.06 zeigte „Der besondere Film“ in der Hansastraße 48 e.V. eine Retrospektive mit Filmen des amerikanischen Independent-Filmemachers Walter Ungerer.![]() ![]() ![]() index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=58&Itemid=87 Unbroken Creative FreshnessWalter Ungerer RetrospectiveOn the 26th of April 2006 „Der Besondere Film“ showed a retrospective with films by the American independent filmmaker Walter Ungerer at the Hansastraße 48 e.V..Ungerer is a filmmaker with international reputation, he worked as a contemporary in artistic sphere of Stan Brakhage and Jonas Mekas and is still artisticly active producing short experimental work, long documentary films and video installations.His works is represented in the American „Film Makers’ Cooperative“ (www.film-makerscoop.com) and in the archives for experimental and avant-garde film of „Light Cone“ in Paris (www.lightcone.org).A detailed handout for the retrospective in English language is available as download on this page. Walter Ungerer described in detail the producing and artistic background of the films shown at the retrospective. The handout includes up to date bio- and filmography in English language. After screenings in Kiel and Hamburg Ungerer was invited to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania whre he staged film shows in Rostock, Greifswald and Neubrandenburg.
